1st Grade Teacher Tells Class, ‘Santa Isn’t Real!’

Each day deeper into December more and more Christmas spirit fills the air. A substitute teacher in Brooklyn, New York, on the other hand, decided to drain every ounce of joy about the upcoming holiday from a group of first-graders.

News 12 Brooklyn published a report about children returning home from P.S. 321 on Monday visibly distraught. Apparently, the classroom had a substitute teacher, who believed it was necessary to dispel any beliefs about Santa Claus or the Tooth Fairy in a lesson about “convincing.”

The principal attempted to ease the minds of parents, stating: “I guarantee you that this substitute will not be in class 1-216 again.”

Unfortunately, the damage is already done.

As parents try and process why an adult would deem such an example appropriate and children wonder who will deliver the toys their hearts desire, everyone can agree the substitute teacher in question deserves an enormous lump of coal in their stocking.
